Thanks people for answering my question (In which some still might could answer) on explaining rejection.A little something more:A while back I was wanting to date my best friends cousin.I finally left her a message on her voice mail asking her to hang out.She did not return my call so I called her and she got the message and she said:"I can't go out my boyfriend would not like it if I go out,sorry".Then I persisted (Stupidty) to call her and she would say "yes" to hanging out but she would not call me back.She sent me a text message and said "I dont want anything to do with you". I was abit annoyed at her (I'd known her since she was 2 years old).I kept calling and hanging up,to the point where her boyfirend told me kindly to stop calling.She then called the police on me and the copper said "Don't contact her".All the hang up calls were traced.Now people, THAT IS REJECTION Right?
I've not spoken to her since. Its been a year now. Right now,I've no interest in conversing with her.

Why do I have such a problem with confrontation - - Often I would rather run away from an issue or miserably put up with it, hoping it will improve than face it head on and deal with it. Is it because I'm a pathetic coward? My emotional skin is so thin; how can I toughen up and grow some balls?

My guy has naked pictures of this girl he dated for a good 4 years.
Throughout the relationship she cheated on him and did all sorts of crap stuff to him, he claims he has no feelings for her. I believe him on that. If ever she comes around he's usually hideously annoyed and refuses to be near her. I'm just worried about him looking at them because I've mentioned to him..."hey, I know you have them...you told me...why do you still have them it makes me feel jealous" He then replied, "they mean nothing and I don't even look at them." That last part is a lie because I know where they are and they have moved through different pages of a magazine. (he doesn't know i know where they are...) He's definetly been looking. Though he only looks when I'm not at his house and pretty rarely. Should I be worried or just let him do it? He may think it's just like porno? She's reasonably attractive, so i could understand...help?

ok well i need some answers right now.....i kno what your going to say -----i'm just another teenager that is making a big deal out of nothing but this is the world to me right now---soo you guys HELP.......ok theres this guy named michael well last year i had like a huge crush on him and he was really hawt i tryed asking him out but he hated my guts.....his friends were perverted assholes....so i think he was just trying to fit in (he was the new kid)....well i tryed talking to him but it never really seemed to work out i'd say like two words then leave him.......OK well moving on i came back to school this year and he is butt ugly he cut his long dirty blonde hair now it looks like a girls hair cut.....and he hangs out with a bunch of losers...and one more thing HE HAS A CRUSH ON ME...(my luck) and befor i found that out i had told everyone i was over him...(but i really wasn't)....and no one really likes him this year....but anyway i have to go talk to him tomarrow what sould i say?

I am 52, have a degree (which at present am not using) and am interested in going back to school...again.

I have found that thru the years, my interests have changed. I used to teach, but realized it wasn't really for me. Now I work at a computer all day and am bored to tears.

I would like to become a vet.

However....

I am not only a bit older then the average student (ok, a lot older) but I have a real hard time with science.

I love animals tho and feell that IF i got thru school, I would be able to do a lot of good.

More questions---How old were you when you went back? What was your course of study? How did you combine work AND school and still stay successful?

Ok, here's my situation:

My dad won't help me move out until I can keep a job past the probationary period (I just got fired from one recently). However, my brother and I have been living together for almost 3 years now and are both at the point of almost physical confrontration when we argue (we are literally yelling at each other in close proximity to one another). We both want me to move out, but my dad won't help me move out until I can keep a job (which is part of my problem having a mentall illness).

I am working with a job coach to rectify the situation and find a lasting job, but my brother and I constantly fight and it is not a healthy situation.

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place and both my brother and my father are unsympathetic to my problems and present situation (only my mother is).

How is this situation resolved without argument and what is the berst way to resolve it (my family frequently attacks me verbally, and vice versa). It is a dysfunctional family

I wonder why my friends never take me seriously and treat me with respect. I was a nice, easy going person and doesn't treat people like crap. Why my friends often break appointment last minute with me and inform me the last minute and doesn;t keep their promise often?I will never do that to them because it disrespect. Are they taking me for granted, not important enought to show respect? When i ask for simple help from them, some didn't even make the effort to help me. I was left feeling helpless as i thought i was her best friend and she didn;t even care about me. What should i do?

Or is it me? Am i taking it too personally, too sensitive and petty? Too childish to behave such way (being jolly and nice)? How should i behave to change this situation in my life? How shall i convey the message to them to show respect to me? I definitely respect them. I am tired of being dissapointed...please help...

Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So I have a crush on these two guys, both are artistic, but they have totally oposite personalities. One is kind of emo, and he is an awsome artist! The other is kind of preppy, and has an amazing voice! Of course I can't either to notice me. The guy that does notice me is in my drama class, he's a football player, and I don't date most athletes (especially football players because i don't even understand the game-and i've already been told to give him a chance but he's kinda perverted and i just don't even want to deal with him-plus even though I am a good athlete and i play softball, I just don't have a lot in common with athletes, I prefer artistists (and musicians) because that's totally what i'm into-music) I'm absolutely clueless! help me!

You get more dates that way, 10 times as many the experts say. I know this is a trivial detail but I want to hear what the people have to say. Are we all suffering from low self esteem. With all respects to those who are christian and to women to put it mildley. Im an @ss but I have my reasons. I said qoute on one of my questions why do women expect to run in equality in the house hold. now mabey ive over exaggerated a little. but if try and share my feelings and try to be a respectfull husband and try to bring her flowers.
