Have you ever wanted to date an African American and your parents strongly apposed and why?

yes. they did not like it because at the time they thought it was against GOD"S rules. whites stay with whites/ Hispanic with Hispanic/ black with black so on and so on... of course i did it and one of my parents still think it's against religion, but they calmed down and accepted me as there child and respect the fact that i have different opinion's than they do. they don't degrade me in any way (any more). they just accept that it's my life the as there life is there's. I'm not sure if you were asking why i wanted to date out side of my race or why my parents disagreed. but the reason i did is because when it comes to relationships or any type communication with others race plays no part in my life. i would date someone from any race back ground that there is. if i have a liking to someone race will not make my decision for me. i will.

I have dated black men and my parents strongly disapproved. The say that it is not right to date outside of your own race. They also think that it is unfair to children who are born into an inter-racial relationship. I don't agree at all with them. I believe in one race, the human race.

i once dated an african african man.
and yes my mamma strongly opposed because
they are still descriminated here in japan and that may and
probably would give difficult situations and hard time when we marry and she couldnt take it personaly. she had prejudice...

I'm mixed and my Dad (who is black) wanted me to date black guys. He never told straight out but he implied it. His reasoning was that he didn't want my kids to go through what I had to, not really belonging to the black race otr the white race. My fiance is white and my son is mixed like me and my Dad loves my fiance and loves my son to death.

No,it really wasnt my parents business on who i date as long as he has a job , has great personality , and treats me the same as he treats his family.. well i date a mexican

Yes,but when I was 8 some black kid held a knife to my face and said he was going to kill me,so there for that really made me turn off by black guys.
