My husband died 8/09/06, was 100% service connected, and was an employee of the VAMC(was out on workmen's comp from 1988 to time of death). Tried to go to VAMC, but told only deal with retired employees. Please if there is anyone that can help to find out information or where to go for benefits.

My husband said to go to Baton Rouge VA as it is the main va for Louisanna and they will be able to help you out.

The Veteran's Affairs admin office. VAMC is only a medical center. Log on to VA.gov and find out where the nearest VA admin office is.
