Environment - January 2007

I'm looking for projects for my enviormental club, I plan on doing beach cleanups and reseeding native plants. But I'm going to need more projects to work on, any suggestions? I'm looking for cool projects to attarct people to the club.

Today i was just doing some homework on the computer and got up and went to turn the lamp on but all of a sudden one of the bulbs kind of popped and the plug has kind of blown up it was flashing yellow and everything went of in the house including the computer which had my 3day's worth of homework..
I did kind of burnt myself near the plug and the plug has melted

I sincerely believe that we are populating our planet to death. This has nothing to do with any certain race or nationality, this is about sheer numbers: 7 billion people live on this planet, and like rabbits, we will breed ourselves right into a deadly plague or war.

I also believe that crime, war, hate, and shortages are directly tied to overpopulation. Thoughts?

The goverment is now saying should shopkeepers ect. be charged with disposal of there exessive rubbish? yes we all cry.lets word it again do you want your goods to go up so as to pay for the disposal of there rubbish.fuel rises become fuel surcharges and all goods paper work will be charged for handling fees and of course if they think 5% would do it they will rise 10% for a hidden profit boost

do you eat tropical fruit from the far flung corners of the world
or your vegtables from south america?
should we not consider the impact on the planet of these imports?

Although Australia produces only a small percentage of the worlds green house gasses, should Australia go nuclear to cut down on the greenhouse gas emisions? What are the benifits/draw backs of going nuclear?
