The goverment is now saying should shopkeepers ect. be charged with disposal of there exessive rubbish? yes we all cry.lets word it again do you want your goods to go up so as to pay for the disposal of there rubbish.fuel rises become fuel surcharges and all goods paper work will be charged for handling fees and of course if they think 5% would do it they will rise 10% for a hidden profit boost

What alternative do you have to offer? Friends of the Earth agree with the policy of Polluter Pays.

If the shops are being charged for the disposal and recycling of their packaging, the idea is for the shops to change their wasteful behaviour and not just push up their prices.

Businesses already have to pay for disposal of their rubbish. The government would be shooting itself in the foot if it were to impose extra levies. Additional business charges means less profits which means less revenue from corporation tax.

Ho hum.

In the USA, all disposal of garbage is regulated. There are disposal fees for all types of wastes - whether it is a class A material or a hazardous material.

Its basically the way to go i reckon but the gov will HAVE TO REWARD THOSE WHO COMPLY WITH FINANcial gain and legislation to prevent non-complyers from filtering the cost thru to us. hard to thrash out but only money seems to talk nowadays. excuse the caps but having a bacon sandwich n not gonna backspace!
