Keeping drugs out of schools and keeping kids straight could mean less druggies at the work place as these kids get older. I have a right to work without worrying if the people I work with are going to flip out on dope, shouldn't students have the same rights and safety precautions? How about drug sniffing dogs in the hallways???

I have to do a debate at school on whether school uniform is a good idea or bad. I have some points like for good you can identify clearly what school to child belongs to and for bad it may cause discomfort. can any one suggests any ideas. all will be appreciated. Thanks

I have approached the school principal, board of governors, local police and member of parliament. The children are still bullying my son- what is my next reasonable step? Fighting back is not an option - there is more of them than my 2.
This has been going on since he started the school.

Pls advise.

recently i had to do an essay whether schools should have english classes for immigrants. i say they should. why not? it makes communicating better and easier and there would be no need for translators. however others feel that if you're going to come to a country you should at least already know the language. what do you think?

My daughter has been quite distraught about this.

I feel this is a very negative comment. Her writing was actually quite neat, the page looks messy, because she has used an eraser several times on each word, to correct it too make it look neater.

I think the teacher could have commented in a positive fashion.

e.g. Great effort, perhaps next time use a clean eraser.

Can you think of any other very short positive comments the teacher could have made to encourage Kylie?

so I'm going to 8th grade next year and i have the option to stay at my old school or go to a new school. The entire 7th grade is basically getting divided in half for next year

1) i can stay at my old school but my parents would have to drive me everyday and pick me up and i get to stay with my friends i known for a while

2) i can go to the new school and ride the bus everyday which would be easier for my parents i get to stay with some of friends i meet about a year and a half ago

also i have to pick electives these we have everyday

1) i can do music but the nicer teacher is going to the new school. I want to do music but i hate the teacher and the projects
or
2)i can do the other classes like tech ed ,art, computer. etc. I want to do this too but if i get a class i don't like i would have to do it everyday
