Why should we do this homework that doesn't teach us anything?
Or Why Can't the teachers actually TEACH (NOT saying this for ALL teachers but for some). They make us learn the whole chapter by ourselves at home.

I want to start by saying that I support the idea of not having cellphones for chit chatting..But.>Today there was a Tornado warning at my Son's schools and some of the children were scared and crying. THey got their cellphones out to call their parents during the dock and cover...The teachers got upset and told them that the school law says do not use cellphones on school grounds...Dont you think that children should have the right to call the parents during caothic incidents, just for the heck of feeling more comforted? I mean these kids were crying, and nobody in that school can comfort them like their parents can... I feel that this si wrong and I am a teacher myself, What do you all think?

I attend a Catholic High School - in fact I'm there right now - and I do think we receive a better education then my public school peers...and that's not right. If anything, our public schools should be just as well staffed, the best facilities, and autonomy from the whims of the school district. that, after all, is what we are paying for through our taxes.

Recently I learned that my daughter will need to repeat kindergarten. I understand and agree with the teacher's decision but I still feel kind-of sad about it. My daughter is not as advanced as the other children in her class and is not as mature. Her birthday is in the summer and she won't turn 6 until school is out. I just received a flyer from school that says Graduation will be May 25th and I need to tell them how many people will be going. Her teacher is fine with my daughter going even though she will be repeating kindergarden next year. I am torn. I am not sure if I want her to go to the graduation. Is that mean? I feel that if she is not graduating that she shouldn't go through the ceremony. Then after she succeeds in completing kindergarten next year, graduation will mean something. Am I being mean? Is that selfish? I also don't want to invite family and friends to the graduation that really isn't. Please help? What should I do?

why do catholic schools get funding as much as the public school. No other religous school gets funding from the government. Can some one explain the reason of that. Since every one payes the same amout of takes why are some of the taxes wasted on the Catholic schools. Where u have to be a christian to attend the school. And at the school you have to practic the chirisitan religion.

I've been reading the answers from the past, but nothing seems quite right. My son has an unbelievable teacher. She goes way beyond what is expected. I'm writing a note to the principal and superintendent telling them specifically how much we appreciate her. Not being wealthy, I'd like to give her something thoughtful, but not extravagant. She's around 40, enjoys exercise, reading, her family (she has 3 daughters and her husband is a h.s principal). Something sophisticated - no apples, tote bags, candles, quote books, etc.

Were you or was someone you know sexually assaulted or victim of a similar crime in the past 20 years?

In retrospect, what were all the warning signs, or other aspects of the perpetrator that were, or now seem like they should have been, suspicious?

My friend's sibling had trust violated by a person in authority, and I want to do everything I can to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

My plan is to put your answers together to create a personality profile that I will use to make a quiz on http://QuizFarm.com . By answering a series of questions about anyone that you know, you can determine the level of risk the individual carries in relation to others and find the help you may need to take action if necessary.

Thank you very much for your participation in this truly life-saving project.
