High school and college are each 4 years. The names of each of years are Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior in that order. Both high school and college follow this same pattern.
Oh, and college and university are words we use pretty much interchangeably. European college might correspond more to tech school over here.

IN the USA kids start may start in "nursery" at age 3, then pre-kindergarten at age 4-5, and kindergarten at age 5-6. They start "elementary" school at age 6 in grade 1, continue until grade 6, then "middle school" is grade 7 and 8, and high school is grade 9,10, 11, 12. They get a high school diploma. Then undergraduate college for four years or until you get a Bachelor's degree BA or BS. Then "graduate school" for a Master's degree - MS, MA, MBA, MPH, MSN, etc for two to four years, then PhD takes from three to six more years. Professional schools such as Pharmacy, Law or Medicine usually take four years after the Bachelor. In many cases students take longer than four years to finish the Bachelor's degree. Masters degree vary quite a lot in what is required, so they may take extra time depending on the requirements. Some students go to Community College for two years and receive an Associate's degree before continuing on to complete their Bachelor's degree at a university.
The first year of HS or college is called "Freshman", then "Sophomore," then Junior and the fourth year is Senior.
