Sounds like you should go to the new school. You will not be a burden on your parents. You have friends there already. You like the music teacher. And you have to realize, that if you get stuck with a class you don't like, that this is part of life.

Well it sounds like you have friends with either option. Do the friends you've known for a long time live near you? If so, you can see them after school. If music is really important to you, it sounds like the new school would be the better choice and it sure would help your parents out if you could ride the bus.
Middle school is about trying new stuff so you can figure out what you want to do with your life so don't be afraid to try new things. Talk to your guidance counselor to see if you can change electives if you really can't stand the one you picked. When I was in middle school -- we got to pick a different one for each semester so it wasn't so hard to tough it out until the end of term.
Good luck to you!

it really depends on what your parents are willing to do and how you feel about your classes.
I think it's a good idea to try different things, and expand your horizons, but I also love music so i know what you mean. but you should try new things now so you can decide what you like and really get into it in high school.
in seventh grade we HAD to take tech ed and home ec, and i thought they were really fun, and even if you don't like the class you pick, it's only for a year. it may seem like a long time, but in the grand scheme of things, it really just isn't that big of a deal.
just talk about it wiht your parents and go with your gut feeling. it usually won't let you down.

Well...maybe you should move to the new school...like you said It'd be easier for your parents....and you make new friends...besides you can stay in touch with old friends by mail, phone or in most cases Myspace....im in 8th grade and i recomend you take the elective you like most....that way you'll be happy throughout your school yea.

If you like your old friends better, go to the old school. If you like your new friends better, go to the new school.
And about the electives: Pick something you enjoy. This will make the class seem less boring!
Good Luck at school..

I feel that the best thing for you to do is consider which one would be most helpful for your parents. In the end it is their decision any way and you should discuss it with them. But remember the final answer is thiers.
