the highschool i used to go to didn't have a very challenging cirriculum. it was much easier to get really high grades, even in honors classes. quite frankly, there were people in honors/AP classes whose intellect would not even get them into accelerated classes in my new school. i was the top student at that school, and in my new school, i'm still in honors/AP classes, but no longer at the tippy top (some kids in my school are just geniuses, really). but if two kids, one being myself who will graduate from the much better, but also more challenging school with pretty good grades, and one student from my old school who would end up with a strong application and very high GPA because of the easiness of the classes, even if the do have an honors title, which on would have a better chance of getting accepted to "prestigeous university"? my SAT scores will definately be higher, but colleges always say that's just one factor. do they consider the school itself when looking at applications?

Hi, I am planning to take biology in college, but what good can it bring to me other than being able to use it in medical school? What if I don't plan to continue and stay as a biology major, what jobs or careers are out there for this major?

I need to get my master's degree online. It is the only way I can do it. The University of Liverpool has an online degree program, but I'm naturally skeptical. Have you heard of this school? I don't want to waste my money on a school that is essentially a "degree mill".

I would be doing double major in business and communication. University of Nebraska has a good program for both my majors in communication/advertising and also business.Whereas, Buffalo has an average communication program and a good business program. I think.

In terms of location wise...Buffalo wins over Nebraska, Lincoln. Night life/college life I was told Buffalo is better.

I need to know in terms of school, which one is known to be better? From the U.S ranking Nebraska ranks higher than Buffalo. But I need people in the states to verify this.

I also need to make a decision fast. Do I go for good program? good school? or location/student life?

Thanks!

I have a 24 credit hours left in college. I intend to work rigorously to increase my GPA. I want to go to graduate school after I get my bachelors. If I can't get into graduate school, then I'm going to find a job, but I'm not sure if my GPA is good enough.

im starting college at GA state university on august 20th and am a psychology major. Im COMPLETELY focused on my studies/being successful and am STRICTLY/ONLY going to college for my education to pursue my PHD in cognitive psychology, and am NOT going to college for a "good time". The question is, since im starting college at the undergrad level is being a psychology major hard and what is it like firsthand, what type of stuff do you do in that class/classes?

My friend published his first scientific paper when he was 14 in the field of Botany. He graduated from college, went on an interview to a top doctoral progam. The advisor said, 'You're welcome to join the program but to tell the truth, there's nothing we can teach you that you don't already know' He joined anyway, and got his Ph.D. last year. He taught for a year, quit and now is writing fiction and working as a waiter. He said he only went through the program because it would make him look respectable to others. And he claims to be a lot happier now.that he realizes he doesn't need that kind of 'respect'. Is this scenario common in our competitive society today?

Hi, well I'm only 13 but I need to think up ideas to save up for college!

I know i supposedly "too young" but I need ot save now. Cause my dad spends all his cash on the lotery, beer and cigarettes! Any money that I do save up i have to hand over ot my father for the bills!

I have no choice cause he get's abusive towards my mother if I don't.

I plan on going ot Harvard med which probably is't going ot happen if the finaces are going to keep going the way they are. I would need about 150,000 for just until I get the Med degree or whatever.

I don't know what I'm supposed to do! We're dirt poor even though it may not look like it. But we are. And I need some help in any programs or stuff that can help.

I'm NOT saying I have to go to Harvard but I really want to and most other colleges are around that range.

I want to be a plastic surgeon to help burn vitims and stuff...for a really cheap price! i just don't know how I'm gonna get there!
