I would be doing double major in business and communication. University of Nebraska has a good program for both my majors in communication/advertising and also business.Whereas, Buffalo has an average communication program and a good business program. I think.

In terms of location wise...Buffalo wins over Nebraska, Lincoln. Night life/college life I was told Buffalo is better.

I need to know in terms of school, which one is known to be better? From the U.S ranking Nebraska ranks higher than Buffalo. But I need people in the states to verify this.

I also need to make a decision fast. Do I go for good program? good school? or location/student life?

Thanks!

I would recommend Nebraska. It has a bigger name in general which has always helped me get interviews. Nebraska has an awesome business school and will really give you a quality education.

Believe it or not UNL has a really good night life. It is just a few blocks from downtown where there is a pretty good bar scene (not much for a club scene though). Between Lincoln and Omaha (which is just a short skip down the road) there are a bunch of good concerts, shows, etc. Its location makes it great for short weekend road trips to Kansas City, Denver, Chicago, etc.

On campus you have the flexibility to get involved in a million ways and know a lot of people or just be one more face in the croud.

I can't even begin to explain the football scene. All I can say is you will never experience anything like a game day. Even if you aren't a football fan or don't go to the games its amazing to see the whole city pretty much stop what they are doing to get into Husker spirit.

If you have any specific questions about Lincoln, feel free to contact me!

Good luck with your decision

I think Mandy is right. Nebraska is well known and well has a good reputation. I should remind you that you are going and paying money for school not the night life. However, Nebraska has lots of tradition and that in itself can be really fun.

You may be able to find hay and a lot of empty space. haha. Honestly, no, it isn't a good school. It isn't a bad school either. If you're trying to make it into graduate, this school will not give a good impression. If all you want is a bachelors to get a simple job unrelated to the field, you might as well take advantage of this.
