What is up with that? I don't think there is such a thing. Most dog grooming shops train their employees on the job. I think she has an averision to college. She wasn't a good student and was home schooled very poorly later on. Wouldn't it be best to go to a community college to get started with the basics with some computer courses? At least an Adult school with occupational training? That dog gooming thing is not versatile. It doesn't stretch. Her family is not much help. They're misinformed and on the ignorant side. Please help.

I am just asking your personal opinion. Do you think a university that instructs its students to do ONLY programming assignments and nothing else,

and also does not teach adequately its syllabus

and does not give its students a chance to do research on IT can be regarded a good university?

I am a senior in high school and right now i am going to colleges and trying to figure out what i want to do with my life. I am freaking out because there r so many things to think about and so much info to process. Like how far do I want to be from my friends that r all staying here, or do I go to a school because they have a great program but I hate the dorms or go to the school that has a good program and I like the dorms. I know I should pick the school that feel right but how do I know it feels right. Also I am so codependant on my friends that I am scared I wont be able to adjust to a school thats 4 hrs away even tho I might really like it. And I am scared that they wont know wat to do because I am the one who fixes all their problems. Or should I even bother to start dating this guy if I am just going to be gone in a yr? Does anyone have any advice or have had these many worries about going to college?? thanks

I want to go back to school in the spring and I really want to rush a sorority, however im just not sure if they will except me. The reasons I dont think they will except me is 1. I'm not a twig like the rest of them. 2. I'll be 24 this August and 3. I am already married! But joining a sorority is something I have wanted to do for a while now. Do you think I should go through with it or will I just be wasting my time?

Hey im still in highschool and i was wondering which major i should pick when i go to college. Im really really shy and i hate presentations and public speaking. I dont really care if its hard work, I just wont a major that requires the east public speaking and presentations. im starting my junior year this fall, and unfortunately now is the when i start to worry about college. the past 2 years in high school was a bore to me, i didn't really try. freshman year, i ended up with a 3.4 average gpa, , sophmore year i ended up with a 3.5 unweighted. i took ap calculus AB and earned a 5 for the ap test, all other major classes were honors. yet my cummulative gpa was a bummed out 3.44. i took ap u.s history at a community college this summer for credit and got a B, im really worried that i wont get into UCLA or UC Irvine, i mean ucla is already a long shot off, im planning on working my *** off junior year and hopefully my improvement will be a major plus. in the fall im planning to take AP biology and AP calculus BC, as well as SAT II for bio, chinese, if i have the time i'll prep for math 2C (i regret no taking it fresh year). Im working on extracurricular stuff, im on my school's wrestling team and im also enrolled in the advanced orchestra...
so any advice?

What do you think if a high school student gets an associate degree (somehow)?

I've seen dual credit students working toward an associate's degree, but what if they actually do?

What will happen to the kid?

How will colleges see him/her?

Do you think it's possible?

How many credits were you taking per semester? My first semester I am taking 15 credits and the most common advice I hear is to study 2 hours for every one hour in class. Obviously, some people study a lot more than 2 hours and some study significantly less. I am trying to get a good idea of how to establish my study routine so I can fit extracurriculars into my schedule, so I'd appreciate any people who could share their experiences.

In addition, what kind of grades did you make with the time you spent studying. Would you have studied more or less?

I don't know. I'm 19 years old and I'm out of high school but I don't know if I feel ready to do things on my own yet. One of those things being starting college. Would you assume some students bring their parents with them to register for college? Should I be embarrassed to do that? Thanks!
