i am a senior at University of Florida and my finance proffesor said during his first lecture if you want to go into finance your better off getting a degree in accounting and your CPA to have an advantage over others in the field. dont listen to lildude cuz hes a retard. logic and problem solving are crutial for accountants. accounting is a science. the math involved really isnt that hard. the hardest math class for a BA is calc 2. and most colleges dont even require that. im an accounting major and would tell anybody else that it is harder than finance. but who knows. it just seems like there more possibilities with an accounting degree than with a finance degree, and more job opportunities.

Accountants dont need to use a lot of logic at work. I think finance majors need to use more logic at work than accountants.

Both degrees can get you good jobs. I think it just comes down to personal preference and which one you really like the most.

Both are great fields, but know that right now, it is easier to find a job in accounting than in finance. There are not enough accounting graduates to fill the existing jobs.
