im starting college at GA state university on august 20th and am a psychology major. Im COMPLETELY focused on my studies/being successful and am STRICTLY/ONLY going to college for my education to pursue my PHD in cognitive psychology, and am NOT going to college for a "good time". The question is, since im starting college at the undergrad level is being a psychology major hard and what is it like firsthand, what type of stuff do you do in that class/classes?

The fact that you were admitted to college means that they think you can do it. It shouldn't be too easy, but my guess is that you will do just fine. It is hard to know what you will do in classes, since every professor has a different approach, but know that if you aren't challenged enough by classes, there are always opportunities to go further and get involved in things like student research, which would help you for grad school.

No different than any other academic class: you will take good notes in class, read the assigned textbook, do the homework and papers, study for exams. Psychology will also have lab work like a physical science. You will also take at least one statistics class; the better you are in statistics, the further you will go in psychology.

I'm pretty sure your first year will be full of boring required credits. A lot of lecture based classes, and some classes you feel like you won't necessarily need. Once you get pass the intro level psych classes, I know at least at my university, you get to perform and carry out studies, some studies are carried out alongside a faculty member.
