its confusing because the credits are worth different amounts unlike highschool. i did really well and wanna know my quarter gpa

i took 2 one credit classes and got A's in both
i took 1 five credit class and got an A in that
i took one 4 credit class that i got an A in
And one four credit class i got a A- in

what would my gpa be? it is the one credit class that are throwing me off, and for future reference how do you calculate it?

I am currently participating in a research program and will volunteer my time at a local hospital. Im just curious whether all this work will be a plus towards me when I apply to medical school.

I want to become a successful person, being best on my career field.

I am still a college student, and I have not decided my major yet, but I think it will be highly likely that I major the MBA (Business Management).

I want to become hugely successful, and I want to live in the rich cities, like West L.A., Beverly Hills, etc.

What do you recommend to me?

Any advice will be apreciated.

I greatly admire you and know you are probably extremely busy but I would like to ask for some advice. I am about to enroll as a freshmen in high school. In middle school, I've been extremely successful. In my eighth grade year, I've received the highest grade average in all my classes, well except art. During the summer, I'm doing intensive study, trying to prepare and be ahead in high school. I plan on attempting to receive the highest grade possible. I would love to be valedictorian, but I know there will be a lot of competition. I'm planning on taking all honor classes, taking Spanish and Debate for four years, and try to do as much community service as possible. I plan on volunteering at a hospital for all of high school. Also, I'm reading many business books, such as Smith's Wealth of Nation. My dream is Harvard, because I'm Asian, it'll be extremely difficult for me. I would love to attend Wharton, too. I'm thinking about a double major in Business and Law....

I'm studying to become an elementary teacher and after graduating and getting a job I wanted to get another degree in foreign langauges. The school I'm attending now is a private university and after graduating there I would want to go to a state university that teacher languages and get a degree in japanese and german (possibly spanish). Will it be easier to get into another university after you have recieved a bachelors at another school to get another degree? (I'll take them during the summer and one in the spring semester, after I've gotten used to teaching)

I have a 3.7 GPA, I got a 140 on my PSAT for sophomore year, so probably I'll be like in the 1200 - 1250 range for SATs. I am the editor of my high school newspaper, I am in a selective program called STS for student to student mentor program. I am a state coordinator for a non profit organization involved in the Darfur crisis. I am the student council elected representative at large for my high school, a rep of all the students for the board of ed meetings. I am taking AP English and AP Art History, along with honors history. I am aiming for NYU but where do you honestly think I could go with my record?

I'm officially a junior now. I have decent grades, but I'm lacking in extracurricular activities. Is it too late to start volunteering and still get in? I'm really determined to into Berkeley (not through transferring however). The only things I can think of "special" about me is passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test and helping take care of my now 6-year-old cousins. I don't know if this will help give me an advantage, but I live about an hour away from Berkeley and I'm a first-generation student from a low income family.

I hope there's someone out there like me who got in despite the lateness...

I'm not looking for general answers like "Do extracurricular activities." I need examples. I want to make this summer very constructive.

Please help me! I'm a willing student and I've changed a lot (I used to be the "loner" in elementary & middle school.). I've become more confident lately.

I am planning to major in economics... looking at Stanford and MIT.

I go to a public high school, probably one of the top in the city of Chicago. Will probably graduate top 5% of class. Courseload is very challenging with many AP classes.

GPA: 3.92/4 unweighted, 5.04 weighted
ACT: 33
SAT: 2160

Extracurriculars
Plays on Chess Team (3rd place in state 2006, 2nd place 2007).. I also will be the captain this year.

I'm an active chess player that plays chess outside of school in many local and national tournaments.

Math Counts, Math Team, NJHS, Ping Pong
Outside of class, I serve as a teaching assistant for a Kung Fu class (I've been taking Kung Fu for 7 years). I also am part of a Lion Dance group that performs around the area, so this can count as job experience.

Small things include my frequent traveling, piano playing, tutoring experience...

So what are my chances?

Harvard is my dream, my passion, yet some tell me that it is only a dream, a hope. I'm about to become a freshmen this year. I am willing to do anything to help me have a greater chance at attending this prestigious university. I would like to have a double major in Business and Law (again some people tell me it's impossible but I am determined to prove them wrong). In middle school, I was extremely successful, perhaps #1 all 3 years. However, now it's high school and I realize that competition is more intense, everything is so much more different. I am asking for anybody for advice to help me achieve my dream. What should I focus on? What can I do to help my chances? Basically, I'm trying to get as near 100 grades as possible in high school (it's going to be difficult I'm sure), volunteer at a hospital for 3 years, perhaps join a volunteer club, do debate and Spanish for 4 years, and just try to work as hard as possible. I would appreciate any advice, from anybody and everybody.
