I plan on applying early decision to NYU this fall to the College of Arts and Sciences with an undecided major. I guess that is my first question. Does applying without a declared major improve my chances? As far as grades, I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA and my SAT scores are 680 on CR, 600 on Math, and 620 on writing. I took 2 AP courses and 1 college course this year and I am taking 3 AP courses and 2 college courses next year. I am part of the symphonic orchestra and have taken art and Italian every year of high school. As far as extracurriculars, I play varsity basketball, I am Co-President of National Honor Society, I am an officer in the National Art Honor Society, and I am part of the National Foreign Language Honor Society. I am on the school's academic team, an art club member, co-president of the U.S. History Club, Renaissance Gold Club member, Italian Club member, and a member of the International Outreach Club. What are my chances of being accepted to NYU? Any help or advice
