What is it about UoP that has everyone uptight? Just because they are the largest and in my opinion, the best private university in the United States, does not mean they are a "bad school". Ask yourself, have I taken classes at UoP? Do I really know what the school is all about? Those that want to have a BMW session are probably those students who want to barely get by in life, or perhaps are just miserable. The general consensous is that UoP only wants money. Here is something to think about...public universities want money as well. Just because a public university gets money from the taxpayers, does not mean they deserve all the glory and prestige. I worked hard for my UoP degree: staying up late to write a paper, dealing with conflicts on learning teams, sacrificing time with family because I took my education seriously. For those of you who want to think bad about UoP just because of what you read, you have just assumed, without knowing the truth.

I'm about to start my journey in community college this fall and i just want to know how the class schedule works in college. What is the schedule and how long are the interval breaks. Like for example lunch break and leisure time ? Also, would a part time job fit be too much in balance for study-time hours ?

I'm applying to USC this Fall from a community college and I was wondering if it would be better for me to:

A. Transfer with a 4.0 GPA and all GE requirements completed except one major prep lower division requirement

or B. Transfer with a 3.9 with all GE and major prep complete

They say I do not need to complete all of the requirements to transfer and I have plenty of extracurricular activities like student government, and awards, etc. Thanks!

I plan on applying early decision to NYU this fall to the College of Arts and Sciences with an undecided major. I guess that is my first question. Does applying without a declared major improve my chances? As far as grades, I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA and my SAT scores are 680 on CR, 600 on Math, and 620 on writing. I took 2 AP courses and 1 college course this year and I am taking 3 AP courses and 2 college courses next year. I am part of the symphonic orchestra and have taken art and Italian every year of high school. As far as extracurriculars, I play varsity basketball, I am Co-President of National Honor Society, I am an officer in the National Art Honor Society, and I am part of the National Foreign Language Honor Society. I am on the school's academic team, an art club member, co-president of the U.S. History Club, Renaissance Gold Club member, Italian Club member, and a member of the International Outreach Club. What are my chances of being accepted to NYU? Any help or advice

I'm a senior in college, I'm attending undergrad through May 09' due to the 150hr requirement for CPA's... and I have 4 years of schooling after that (part-time) while I'm working.

I have no money, I cannot find a summer job, I have living expenses to worry about... an $80,000 undergraduate tuition bill, and a soon to be masters degree bill that will cost me $55,000.

I'm worried about finances now and in the future.
I heard I can expect 30-40k for my first five years...
I'm in trouble. Plus my grades aren't that great (3.2)

Any advice???
