A couple of years ago, I did an International Human Relations Management training seminar with NASA in Mountain View (N. CA) in concordance with Concordia University. They were studying the effects of using team-building exercises on a NASA crew before putting them in a high-stress situation. The psychology researcher from Concordia who I worked with was very knowledgeable, interesting, and professional. I don't know how that might reflect on the rest of the faculty, but I was impressed.

It is a small (about 2000 students) Lutheran school (from the website, they appear to be very religiously-focused), and I had never heard of them either before this year when they were seeking a Dean in my area - and I live in Southern California. The good news is that they are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, which is the appropriate regional accrediting organization for the area in which the school is, so they are at least considered reasonably acceptable. I tried to look at faculty qualifications as another way of judging quality, and unfortunately, they don't even tell you if any individual has a doctorate, so I wasn't clear on that. I do know that I didn't recognize the names of any of the faculty in my field, but that doesn't mean that they are terrible teachers, just that they aren't known within the profession.
