As a County College of Morris (NJ) graduate in spring, '07, I have received a number of high accolades during my time there, including being 1 of the 2 students the team selects per community college across the country to be nominated to the All USA Academic Team in 2007. Two days after being rejected by Cornell, on May 15, Harvard Extension School sends me a congrats on my All USA Academic Team nomination and invites me to earn a degree there. The next day I got rejected from NYU and a week later, I got an acceptance letter from UPenn's School of General Studies. I have an opportunity to stay on-campus there, something Harvard cannot provide for me as an Extension student. What would you do?

Hi guys;

OK.. here's the story....

When i started High-School at the age of 14, I was doing pretty well for about 3-4 months, then ..... i met some friends from a while back and i've been cutting constently for 3 years.

My guidance counselar told me to get my GED. He filled out the paper work and i was taking GED classes.
Newayz............................ I took the test 3 days ago, and if i pass, i certainly want to go to college, but i don't understand the college system.

My teacher said ' If you get a 2250 (aka; passing) -2999, you must go to a community college, then transfer to a 4 year college. But if i get a 3000+ above on my GED, i can go straight to a 4 year college.

The thing i am confused about is, what is a community college, are they the same as 4 year colleges, are they cheaper, Are they less educated???

Can some1 plz explain to me, thx

Sorry for my bad grammar, i just woke up.

I've been researching universities lately and find it hard to come up with anything that isn't ivy league or garbage. I'm pretty close to the standards that top schools look for but what if I don't get in? Can someone tell me about some highly regarded universities in the U.S. that I may not have heard about?

By the way, I hope to study business.....

What jobs are there in marketing that are interesting? How much can a career in marketing pay? I'm interested in the creative side of business and think this may be a good idea, but I would like to hear from people who know about this area. How much can you earn if you work your way up.

Hello,I passed my 10 +2 exam on 2006 and had given the joint entrance test for medical as well as the medical test at AIIMS etc.There was about 7-8 colleges i applied last year and got rejected in all the medical tests.My teachers and friends advised me to go for a not-so-gud college instead than trying for amedical good college next year and wasting a year.However I did not listen to them and have stayed home for a year,studying hard for this years exams.
Now the thing is,after the declaration of this years results,I got selected in all Medical,engineering,pharmacy as well as biotechnology course.Now I am confused which to apply.Can anyone please help with the post-graduation streams that I can apply after completing each of these streams.Also which of these have a better career option in India.Which stream will help me get a job faster as I have already wasted one year.

Thanks.

I know three years of a science is important. But if you take biology, chemistry, and anatomy classes, would physics really be mandatory?

I am planning to do two courses at the same time (because I like them both, I want to study Science Politics and the Universe), do you guys think that it's gonna be a lot of work? Because I have a friend, who's in college and she says that she doesn't sleep because she has to be always studying.

But what do you think?
