My score is 2100, with 800 in maths. But I'm afraid my reading score is too low for me to be considered in Harvard or Yale, or Stanford,or MIT
I have a GPA of 4.6 ( on 5). I'm also a member of my school editorial board and the students council. I've taken professional training in vocal music, and am into art, debating and atheletics. I've won several national scholarships a scholarship to study in singapore.
I'm actively involved with an NGO against child labour, and have participated in international conferences, where I represented my country, India. I've done several surveys in the villages, and have written an evaluation report for the NGO.
Would these extra-curriculars make up for my SAT-1? I'll be giving SAT-II, where I should get above 760.
Should I apply with my present resume, or should I wait and give my SAT-I again ? ( If I do, I'll have to give it in June, which might get too late. I also dont want my parents to spend double because I didn't get enough the first time

I am going to be a senior next year(high school). My GPA is 2.95 unweighted and 3.1 weighted. My ACT is 22, but I am retaking it again this saturday so I am hoping to do better. I have taken 2 AP classes this year and will take 2 more next year. I read on collegeview.com that the average freshman GPA is 2.74. Do you think I will have any trouble getting in?

So I went to San Diego Community College right out of High School (10 yrs ago '07) and basicaly f*ed off for two semesters while collecting my Pell and FAFSA grants. At the wise old age of 28 I now realize I was an idiot and am concidering going back to school. What do I need to do to?
Can I go back (or to different school) with a clean slate or will my bad grades follow me a decade later?
Is there a statue of limitations on grades, forgiveness of some sort?
Do I even bother requesting my transcripts or should I play dumb?
Will I have to pay back those grants?

I'm sure I'm not the first person to blow off school and regret it later- what is a person in my situation to do?

I'm currently a soldier, serving the last year of my 4 year contract, and I'm looking to go to college once I get out. I want to do something worthwhile while at the same time getting paid $80,000 + per year. What kind of bachelor degree programs are there out there that will provide me with the skills needed to get a high paying job like that? I've been considering doing the pharmacist thing but it just seems like such a long road to a career in that field. Can anybody please help me decide what to do with my life, what kind of degree program to start, and what kind of job(s) to pursue?

I am currently a high school student who practices guitar around four hours a day. I have completed the Berklee Modern Method for Guitar books and was wondering how difficult it would be for me to get into Berklee when I graduate. I have a 4.1 weighted average if that helps.

Hey! I am now moved to Tampa Florida and about to pick my college courses. My guidance councilor sucks and needs to retire NOW and need some help.

What is the best, cheapest, Culinary school where I can feature in cooking, and restaurant business.

I am not looking to be a chef...I am going to open a restaurant and possibly more than one after it succeeds.

I want a good, cheap, short amount of time at a Culinary school anywhere in the state of Florida.

6 months max--

I have no idea how much this type of things costs...

Would it be possible to not go to a regular college...and go to a Culinary school and when I graduate still be considered college and get all the degrees I need. Of course then I would go to a 4 year school.

I am extremely clueless on the topic and would truly appreciate your help.

Thanks so Much!

Derek Logan

Hey, i've been trying to figure out the best school i can attend. Everyone i talk to is happy with the school they are going to! I just want to know how you go about finding the best college for you and your major. I planing on majoring in medicine or maybe in journalism. Someone once told me that going to a huge college or university that is well known might not always be the best out there. Say Duke for example and all that has happened there in the past year or two. I'm starting to think the name of the school means nothing. Basically i want the best bang for my buck! What do you think? Got any proven tips? Thanks guys i appreciate it.sorry its long.

But the best job ever is a proffessional football player. Why? You earn millions a year just to play a game. No eduaction required, no college, nothing but you become a millionaire.
