I am going to be a senior next year(high school). My GPA is 2.95 unweighted and 3.1 weighted. My ACT is 22, but I am retaking it again this saturday so I am hoping to do better. I have taken 2 AP classes this year and will take 2 more next year. I read on collegeview.com that the average freshman GPA is 2.74. Do you think I will have any trouble getting in?

You would be in the middle 50% of the class. Should be fine, but you are right... a couple extra points on the ACT should nail it.

The 2.74 GPA is the average GPA of a freshman's first semester at UIC. That is not the average matriculating student GPA. The average UIC student comes to UIC being in the top quarter of his/her class and an ACT of about 24. UIC values class rank more than GPA. You'll be towards the bottom of the average 50%.
