career development loan - the worst thing ever?

I am starting a masters in Chinese studies in September, but have been unable to secure any funding as no one wants to fund an MA in Chinese studies (which to me seems odd with all the current emphasis on China). I have an option to do it part time, but the course is quite intense, even part time. Another option is a CDL, however I just hear negative reviews of them and people just seem to suck their breath in when I mention it.
I mainly need help to cover fees (£3000) because I've worked and saved a fair bit this year. But argh! I don't know. I really want to do this MA and worked my **** off to put myself through my undergraduate degree.
Would appreciate any words of wisdom and people's experience of CDLs

Do you think that anyone has the ability to take a Medicine or Engineering degree?

Assuming that grades were no object, and anyone could be admitted to such programs, do you think that any or most average people could conclude them successfully?

(I ask this because in my country, unlike others, it is easy to be placed in an engineering program...)

I got 196.25 cutoff.I'm an SC candidate.Can I get admission in PSG(mechanical) / MIT(aeronautical)?

What are most dorms like?

I am going to MU this week and we are staying in dorms. I have never seen a dorm. What are they like? What's in them? Is it just two beds? Also, I'm not sure if I should bring a bed set (like sheets and a cover) or just like 3 or 4 blankets. I really appreciate the help.

I need an honest answer on college admissions...?

Ok, since i was a kid, i have been dreaming of going to the us naval academy and becoming a naval officer...

I'm a sophomore in high school...taking all AP/IB classes...
- I have gotten straight A's thru-out high school. (~4.15 gpa)
- lettered in three varsity sports freshman year and this year (football, indoor track, and tennis)
- formed the cancer awareness club in school
-Siemens Westinghouse National Science Scholarship
-nat'l honor society member
-class president since freshman year
-nat'l honor society president
-eagle scout
-I have a sectional ranking in tennis...top 20 in state
-have a job,
-volunteered a lot (have accumulated over 150 hours, since 8th grade)
- IB diploma candidate

HOWEVER, i got expelled from my old high school after freshman year for something stupid..(not serious, like assault, weapons, drugs,or anything)

Honestly, do i have a chance at getting into the US Naval Academy; provided I have decent SAT scores, and continue w/ sports...

Response Paper--Any English teachers out there??

For the Response Papers. I am looking for thoughtful pieces that are clear and reveal that you`re engaging with the material. Don`t turn in a summary of the article. Spend time with the reading, think about it -- reflect.

Could you put this in other words for me, like what exactly does she want--not sure I know what is meant by engaging with the paper or whaterver--I'm great in Math & Physics :D

When will I get an admissions decision from N.C. State?

I applied to transfer a week after the Fall 2007 deadline in April because of the Virginia Tech shootings. I love VT, but I can't handle the emotions of remaining a Hokie. The admissions office says late applications are reviewed on a space-available basis.
