Most colleges have continuing education for adults...usually night classes and most of the people in the classes are older...many people go back to college after 30...its easy to fit right in

YES... In 1977 I started college at age 31. It was exciting and wonderful! Of course, I didn't get involved in any dormitory life, I was divorced with a child, but all professors seemed delighted I was there, except one young PE teacher (who seemed embarrassed I could keep up with the youngsters). There were plenty of "mature" students. The religious student organizations and even the counseling office can give you any help or advice you need.
The financial part wasn't a problem. I started out qualifying for a grant, but after earning good grades I began getting scholarships. I never had to pay a single penny of my own money. Also, I was able to tutor others to earn extra.
You go for it!!.. and don't be afraid. I managed to graduate in just 3 years by going to Summer School, too and ended with a 3.78 GPA. I became a teacher and never regretted any of it for a minute.
By the way, in no time at all I had an active love life to manage (and enjoy). That was really a shocker to me who considered myself really "over the hill."

I went back to college in my 30s! Thank God I did. I now have a really decent job within my major! I did it all through night school while I worked during the day. It took me a while because of the night school, but it was well worth it. I don't think it it was difficult. In fact, because of "life experience" it seems to be a lot easier. Not only that, the learning seems more fun because you WANT to do it as opposed to right out of HS you HAVE to do it. If that makes sense.

Best of luck you!! And have fun - it's a great place to meet people too. I still talk with some of my alumni.

yes my mom did and she is 50 and her teacher worked with her very well and they have free tutoring at the colleges. she just had to take a refresher course for math and english little things like that. she told me it was not that hard the math was a little hard but she had a great professor who worked with her very well. The professor even worked with her when she had to take my dad to the doctors. SO you should not be scared to go back.
i have 30 years and older people in my college classes too. It makes me glad to see them there.

I went back to college at the age of 28. I found it much easier than when I was younger. I was more focused and appreciative of the opportunity to learn. I enjoyed the experience very much, graduated with a 3.8 gpa, and my AA. I didn't pursue my B.A. but haven't ruled it out at age 40. :-)

Judging by your sentence structure and word choice, you would probably want to do some intensive English review, brush-up before taking the entrance exam, which can be tough. However, even if you place low on the test, there are remedial classes given at the college to bring you up to speed.

You'll be surprised to see how many older students are in your courses with you. Many colleges offer credit for "life experiences." Check with the Registrar's Office.

Most every college will have programs for working adults.

The biggest issue is cost. Colleges are a business and you as a paying student can attend as long as you can pay.
