Hi- I'm still in high school, but I have my heart set on being in the medical field. I'm pretty sure I want to be a family practitioner. I was wondering if any one had any suggestions as to how I should go about doing this- what courses to take, what extra curriculars, what jobs/volunteering I should do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am taking a class that I don't need to graduate, but I just took it because I had extra room in my schedule and thought it would be interesting to learn. I am doing very well in the class. I have a 95/A, but I feel stressed from doing the work. I know that the grade would help my GPA, but I don't know if the stress is worth it for a class that is not needed. Any suggestions?

I'm currently enrolled in a BSN program and I want to go on to and MD program. The BSN program does not fulfill all of the requirements for admission for Med School such as a full year of chemistry including Inorganic and Organic, full year of Physics, math up to the calculus level, etc. I know I'm going to have to take the classes one way or another but will they be included in my BSN or will I have to have an additional degree? What if I take the classes and don't obtain a degree? Would they still accept the credits if not a part of a degree? Where can I find more information on all of this??? Thank you so much for any of your responces!!

Right now I live in Florida, and was wondering if the University of Florida or the University of Toledo would be better for pharmacy- if anybody knows much about these schools? I say Toledo because while Florida would be more cost efficient and closer obviously, I would eventually like to move out of state and Toledo was one of the schools that seemed to offer a good pharmacy program for a relatively lower price than other out of state schools. Has anyone been to these schools before?
Would transfering from prepharmacy in Florida to a pharmacy school out of state even be likely? Or would it be better if I completed the whole program in one state...?
Also, if there are any pharmacists out there, what do you think of your job?? -Thank you for answering in advance...

Hi, what courses do I need to take premed? I am currently taking biology, chemistry, geoology, psychology and a composition class. I plan to take physics next year.

Most importantly is it true that you have to have 5 classes a semester to be taken into consideration into med school? I was planning on taking 2 intersession classes and only 4 during normal school time. Would this diminish my chances?

I can't decide what to major in when I go to a University, and what I decide to do in live will have a deep impact on where I want to attend college.

My interests are:
Law - I like finding out information, arguing my point, helping people, etc. Or Paralegal?

Psychology - Not the 'sit on a couch, tell me your problems' psychologist, but more of the psychologist who studies neurological disorders, treatments, etc.

There's other things I'm interested in. Obviously I'd like a career that could make me good money, but it doesn't have to be $180 an hour or anything.

There's no right or wrong answers, I just want suggestions!

Any ideas?
