Next year I'm taking a college course at IPFW (Indiana Purdue University of Fort Wayne). Its Western Civilizations to 1500's. I know its over European history, but if anyone has taken the course or one similar to it, can you tell me exactly what parts of history will the course cover?

Courses like this cover the major civilizations of the ancient world - the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Chinese, Indus Valley, etc. - and then work toward ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. From there you go through the sacking of Rome and the Dark Ages, usually ending near the Middle Ages.
