Should I join a sorority? Is it hard living in a sorority house? I know at my university the Greek system is very small and not party-ish like other schools, but I live in a conservative area so the greek system is still looked upon like partiers, but I know they do a ton for the university, and have pretty strict codes.

Is joining a sorority a good idea? Do they have weird frat-like customs or is it more like Legally Blonde?

Did anyone have this experience before? I really need some academic advisers to answer this question.

I have a friend who got dismissal from UC Davis right after his freshman year. Since he has to make up for a few classes due to his poor grades, the dean wouldn't let him to stay in UC Davis during this academic year. Now he is going to a community college and so far he has been getting A's in his classes. Will he possibly have a chance to transfer to UCLA? If it is possible, how? Please explain!

Soon I will be going for a visit to an out of state university that I am very seriously considering attending. I just want some pointers as to what I should expect, questions I should ask, and things I should ask to see.

I would like to sit in on a class and tour the dorms, but what are some other things I should consider that I might not think of on my own?

All answers are welcome, but answers from students of parents of students, especially those who attended out of state schools, are most appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I wanted to be a lawyer when i grew up, and as of now I'm a sophomore in Hs with excellent grades (unweighted never less than a 4.0) and great athletics. However, I feel that it may take a long time before I actually became a lawyer. If i took the LSAT's early or something (senior year) do you think i could skip undergrad altogether and mebbe go to graduate school straight from high school? I'm not talking about harvard here but even a small university like Golden Gate University. How can one minimize their schooling to go into a field like this where there are no undergrad classes offered for the field you are going into. "Pre-law" is not classified as a major, but a selection of random classes that has nothing to do with the actual study and practice of law. So has anyone done or heard of such and idea and can I do this? How do you do it? THANKS EVERYONE :)

I am going to be a freshman this coming fall at University of the Sciences. I will be entering an accelerated dpt program. I will be getting my BS in health sciences. I would like to also get licensed in AT. Would I have to major in it or would I just be able to take the exam? My overall goal is to work in sports medicine.

I've been considering taking up a nursing course, to get my LPN or become a RN. Currently, I'm a psychology major, with a Human Services Certificate and my Associates in Liberal Arts and Social Science. I am a single mother, and it's really hard to go to school during the day, because I work too. Most psych degrees don't offer night classes, so I'm considering getting a degree in Nursing. I was wondering if anyone can give my any info on nursing/healthcare programs, such as the salary of an LPN/RN, or any other health care fields.
Also, I'm interested in Early child development, and wondering what type of job you can get with a Bachelors in early child development, and what the basic salary is.
I live in Buffalo NY, and am trying to find a college to take some night courses at to get my Bachelors in one of these feilds, or something related.
If anyone has any information on any of this, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you in advance! : )

I did the wrong degree, have to do the Graduate Diploma in Law conversion course first, will cost me £3600.

Then LPC, very hard I have heard and costs £9000, I am not rich so is it worth doing? also I have heard it is very hard to get firms to give you the 2 years training.

Has anyone here done it? What are your experiences?

I am seriously considering attempting to get into a foreign college (I was thinking somewhere in England), but I am not sure what the requirements generally are. I was wondering if anybody could please help me out with this. Are SATs and ACTs important? What about how many years of math you take in high school? Are any classes for a certain number of years required?

If you could please help me I would be forever grateful.
Thank you!
