Errr, neither are Ivy League schools.

Either way, try to get as close to 4.0 unweighted as possible. 3.7+ for NYU. Boston U needs almost as high.

There's no hard or fast rule. Getting in to a school like NYU or the Ivies requires more than top grades and test scores. Your personal essay, letters of rec, and extra currics are critical because everyone applying has high grades and test scores.

I'm not sure any of those are ivy league. I know NYU isn't. Ivy league colleges are like Harvard, Yale and Princeton.
But, as for your question, to get into an ivy league, you usually have to be one of the top ten in your class. They will also want to check your extracurricular activities, such as clubs and programs you may be involved in. And some sort of volunteer work is usually required as well.
NYU is a great school. You do need good grades to get in. Check out their website, maybe it will help.
