Soon I will be going for a visit to an out of state university that I am very seriously considering attending. I just want some pointers as to what I should expect, questions I should ask, and things I should ask to see.

I would like to sit in on a class and tour the dorms, but what are some other things I should consider that I might not think of on my own?

All answers are welcome, but answers from students of parents of students, especially those who attended out of state schools, are most appreciated.

I attend a out of state school and you should definatley ask to see a dorm room, bathroom, and class room. YOu can tell a lot about the college by the way they keep up with these three places. If they refuse to show u any DO NOT GO TO THAT SCHOOL, i had two colleges that i visited that refused to show their dorms since they were super slummy. Make sure you ask ur tour guide what they think about the school and what their experiences are (keep in mind though that they have to say positive things), ask the admissions officer about the drop out rate, % of people getting a job after school, and discuss if u need to do anything to make ur application more noticeable i.e-sports,honor society,grades. Oh and a side note if the tour guide that takes u around isnt very good obviously it means that he isnt very enthusiastic about the college hes attending.
