I'm currently in eighth grade, I know middle school grades don't matter to colleges but I want to get an idea if I'm on the right track.

I have all A's, except for Algebra I, in which I have an 87. I did the Duke TIP last year and made a composite 23 on the ACT. I just recently picked my freshman courses, taking all advanced classes and Spanish I. Am I on the right track to get into Columbia?

Specifically, I want to get into Columbia to go to college for acting. Something I'm confused about is: do I just take the courses when an undergraduate or can I pick a major while an undergrad? Or is that done in graduate school?

I applied to USC's Annenberg School of Journalism. They said that I should know whether I got in or not by April 1st. It's March 27th already and I still haven't heard from them. One girl from my school found out that she got in early March; the same is true for a couple of other people from other schools. But apart from her and a few other kids, no one has heard from them yet. Does that mean that they are sending out rejection letters AFTER acceptance letters? Am I getting rejected/wait-listed? Do I HAVE ANY chance of getting in??
I AM PANICKING!!! Please help!!

I hope to become a doctor when I am older, and I was wondering what kinds of grades it takes to get into a school like Johns Hopkins or Harvard Medical school.

Are you a doctor? How would you classify your medical school/medical career? Hard, easy?

I have a friend, she's 25 years old with two kids, and her current boyfriend is practically another child, who is financially, socially, and relationship..ally challenged. She works at a job that pays her enough to get by, and then whatever is left goes to cover her boyfriends half of bills(most of the time). She really wants to go to law school so she can do what she loves doing, and make a good life for her children. Is there anyway she can do this? I've told her just get rid of the guy, he's just leaching off of her, and unless he can pull his weight and then some he wouldn't be any help. She has a hard time kicking him out though because he's not a horrible person overall, and she doesn't want her second child to have to go without his father like her oldest son.

What advice would you give? Anyone going through or gone through the same thing?

Thanks.

What is the cost? How long does it take? Do you need a certificate or degree? How much money do you need to take a complete course? Can you make small, intricate glass items like wedding cake toppers? Can you make other small intricate items? Would I likely be hired just out of school? What would the pay likely be?

I'm a high school student and I am not sure which medical career should be mine. I am deciding between becoming a pharmacist or an M.D. in a hospital. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to which medical books I could read to help my decision or medical books I could read to study either profession.

If your school doesn't allow you to take more than 18 credits a semester, can you still take DANTES/CLEP test and get credit. I'm taking six classes and want to take one or two dantes tests, does anyone know if schools accept them, cause that technically would be more than 18 credits.

Hi, thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this!
I am a high school junior in CA. I am not a US citizen. My average cal state GPA for sophomore and junior year is 3.57. Right now I have a 4.0 but sophomore year I ended with only a 3.2. I am in leadership at my school, do community service, and play D3 club soccer as well as Irish and jazz dance. This summer I am studying abroad in Spain for two months. My work experience is a camp counselor at a summer camp as well as tutoring and babysitting. I am hoping to double major in either marketing or international business and spanish. I do not have my SAT scores back yet but ranked in the 89th percentile on my PSAT. Here is my schedule for junior and senior year:
Junior:
- AP US history
-AP English
-AP Art
-Algebra 2
-Graphic Design
-Chemistry
-Spanish 3
-Leadership

Senior:
-Gov/Econ
-AP literature
-AP enviornmental science
-Trigonometry
-Honors Spanish
-AP Advertising
-Leadership

Thanks again!
