I applied to USC's Annenberg School of Journalism. They said that I should know whether I got in or not by April 1st. It's March 27th already and I still haven't heard from them. One girl from my school found out that she got in early March; the same is true for a couple of other people from other schools. But apart from her and a few other kids, no one has heard from them yet. Does that mean that they are sending out rejection letters AFTER acceptance letters? Am I getting rejected/wait-listed? Do I HAVE ANY chance of getting in??
I AM PANICKING!!! Please help!!

I think you got waitlisted. They send out the defininte "no's" pretty quickly, and the definite YES people quickly as well. After they determine if the first round folks are accepting or not, they send letters to the waitlisted people--that's you. It sounds like they were still considering you. Sometimes you get in, sometimes you don't. Just relax...there's nothing you can do about it right now anyways!

USC sends out admission decisions on a rolling basis. Some people are notified in Feb. others in April even when they go to the same high school. Don't give up hope just yet, it's the Trojan way. Best of luck to you and fight on!!

The "official" day by which you must be notified is April 15, I believe. That is the day when graduate schools can force you to make a decision about accepting an offer, so you should have all your relevant acceptance/rejection notices by then.

Well by april 1st your will know just wait until then. But maybe those people checked online. The school maybe has an online checking system. Try that.
Just wait it out you will be ok.
If not, its not the end of the world.
