Hi, thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this!
I am a high school junior in CA. I am not a US citizen. My average cal state GPA for sophomore and junior year is 3.57. Right now I have a 4.0 but sophomore year I ended with only a 3.2. I am in leadership at my school, do community service, and play D3 club soccer as well as Irish and jazz dance. This summer I am studying abroad in Spain for two months. My work experience is a camp counselor at a summer camp as well as tutoring and babysitting. I am hoping to double major in either marketing or international business and spanish. I do not have my SAT scores back yet but ranked in the 89th percentile on my PSAT. Here is my schedule for junior and senior year:
Junior:
- AP US history
-AP English
-AP Art
-Algebra 2
-Graphic Design
-Chemistry
-Spanish 3
-Leadership

Senior:
-Gov/Econ
-AP literature
-AP enviornmental science
-Trigonometry
-Honors Spanish
-AP Advertising
-Leadership

Thanks again!

You mean your UC GPA is a 3.57 right now?

Well, all your other stuff is more on the average side. 3.57 is just high enough where you have a realistic chance provided you have a REALLY high SAT score. It's on the lower side, so you want a 2100+ on the SAT. If you're just a junior, you've still got some chances to retake if you don't like your SAT score.

You should take AP: Bio, Chem, Physics, Calculus, Foreign language, since the latinos are starting to controll the country and ladies doing the same. A good school like this will see its applicant pool with those credentials.

Admissions for international students are a bit more competitive; the acceptance rate for non-residents is about 13%.

Here the general information for international students: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/intl.htm You really need to work closely with your counselor to make sure you meet all the admission requirements. If you have any specific questions about your eligibility, you should ask UCLA admissions directly at: (310) 825-3101, they are available Monday-Friday between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
