i want to ultimately teach, but not sure which road to take. doing teachers college first is an option, since i cannot defer teachers college and in two years when i would reapply, there could be too many teachers, so not as many spots opened, and i may not get in the second time around. doing a masters first would open many doors, such as PhD, but then doing teachers college after would allow me to become department head, vice principle, etc. i'm confused on what to do. any insight???

I am 27 and a mother of a 2yr old. I never finished college and have started going back recently. I have a great job and have no plans on going anywhere else. Its just really hard going to school and working. I feel tired all the time and stressed out alot. Is it really worth it to finish school. I know in the long run I do want a degree but if I quit now I don't think i'll go back. What do you think I should do?

I have to do a breaching assignment for sociology, and write about breaking the "norms." These would be if going to a movie, and there is one person in the theater, you don't go sit right next to them. And in an elevator, everyone faces forward, so turning around making eye contact would be violating the norms. It can't be illegal or cause harm to anyone. Anyone have any cool/fun ideas?!

It costs thousands of dollars to go, especially if you don't apply for financial aid, and then there's still the chance that you won't get a good paying job. I'm not going to college next year, and a lot of people look at me like I'm crazy, but most of those people's parents are paying for their college anyway. Plus there are a lot of people who just drop our, and there are a lot of people who get great jobs just through networking. Is it really worth it?

Hello. Please consider the folowing scenario:

Barry and Steve are good friends. Barry wants to buy a new computer, but he doesn't have the money for it right now. Barry says that he will pay Steve $2,000 in five years if Steve gives him $1,600 for the computer today.
Steve figures that there's an interest rate of 6% if he were to put the money in a bank instead of lending it to Barry.
Assuming that there is no risk of Barry not paying the $2,000 when he says he will, should Steve go through with the loan or should he put his money in the bank? Please explain your answer please, with examples.

I am starting college in a medium sized town where i will graduate in May and I will be transfering to a large school in 1-2 years (depends on my GPA) . My major is accounting. After I have worked around a year I plan on going back to school and take night classes to get my CPA. However I want to start this summer and I am totally blind sided to which classes I should start with. I dont know if i should do one session or two sessions and i don't know if i should take core classes or some blow off classes to get the feel. I catch on fast though and I am a quick learner so I don't think that college will be overwhelming to me, until now...help what should i do with my life??

I just transfered to a new college this year ansd ended up missing way to many classes while visiting my mother who is sick with cancer. I do not like the school that much and thought about transferring somewhere else. If I did that, would I be able to send my transcript from my first school and just neglect the transcript from this school? Would a school frown upon that if they found it, or is it ok to do?

Knowing multiple languages is a beautiful thing, because it allows one to experience and learn things in life that others might not be able to. These include, getting to meet new people of different cultures and backgrounds and being able to hold a conversation with them. They also get to enjoy traveling and might even be able to get involved in businesses. People should speak more than one language because learning different languages can expand ones’ awareness and intelligence, they would become culturally diversified and they would expand their possibilities in life. Language is the basic way of communication allowing human beings to express their emotions, fears, and opinions. Language is everywhere in the world, everything learned in some form is learned through language.
