I am starting college in a medium sized town where i will graduate in May and I will be transfering to a large school in 1-2 years (depends on my GPA) . My major is accounting. After I have worked around a year I plan on going back to school and take night classes to get my CPA. However I want to start this summer and I am totally blind sided to which classes I should start with. I dont know if i should do one session or two sessions and i don't know if i should take core classes or some blow off classes to get the feel. I catch on fast though and I am a quick learner so I don't think that college will be overwhelming to me, until now...help what should i do with my life??

Obviously if you want to get your CPA then you should take accounting but, most people don't know this, you don't have to take any accounting classes or have a degree in accounting to get your CPA license. Granted, you'd be a pretty smart person to just study for the test and pass it. I don't really know what you are asking in your question. My advice is to make sure your college is accredited and then take your generals (core classes) and get an AA. At this time you won't be taking any electives or required classes for a major but this will allow you to move into any BA program, which is where the accounting degree rests. By doing this you should be able to go to any university within the next 7 to 10 years and get your BA. I would go full time for the required 2 years if you can. People that go part time usually drop out and the key to success in college is self discipline.

Good Luck

Bentley College is the best known college in Waltham, MA for accounting. You can take evening or Saturday classes.
To find out go on-line to help wanted sites and look at how many jobs are available for accountants.
Good luck.

talk to the counselor or dean to get a list of the classes you need to complete the accounting degree. You may need to take some pre-requisites before you begin working on the core curriculum classes. Speak to the freak......

Find a job that you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life!

When asking about the classes... think about the job, and ultimately, KEEP THE END IN MIND!!

Why dont you study the dangers of mid western american and racism. And why that the south has so many bigoted racists is it because they are in small towns and never get to expose themselves to other things other then racism and ignorance. Try opening your mind. I believe what you should do in your life is stop spreading hatred bigotry and spewing venom. What you said about the hispanics are deplorable. This is the main reason I wont visit the south and so many many people have told me the south still has its rednecks. Very sick.
