It depends on the school and if they are on the semester schedule or not. Some offer courses over Christmas break, others do not. Some offer summer courses while others do not.

Some semester based schools have three terms, others have four. (Fall and Spring semester and winter(sometimes) and summer sessions)


Quarter based schools have four terms. (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer)

I think it depends but in high school there are four quarters and in college 2 semester

each term is three months long so you have 4 terms.

mine was broken up in to two terms just first and second but i went to a private college
