What if you try going part time. That can work a bit. One thing I did was I waited until my kids were in school all day and I went when they were in school. I did my homework when they went to bed. Now in all honesty, my house certainly is not spotless and there is always laundry to be done, but I graduate this May and
I will not have to worry about all that then. The sacrafice is worth it. Stick it out, You will be so glad you did!

I am almost 40, and I am finishing up my MS in May.... I too, have a 2 yr old. It took me nearly 12 yrs to obtain my BS, I am very glad I kept going. But now, things are a bit different, I want to spend more time with my family - my 2 yr old is growing up really fast, and I don't want to miss anything that I would later regret.
If I were in your shoes, I would stay enrolled however on a limited basis (1 to 2 classes per year - online). Once your 2 yr old starts school, then you could probably pick up the pace a little. You both could do homework together - setting an example for your child. Just have a lot of patience - as college will demand your time and energy - - its may not be worth the effort if you plan on staying where you are......

Finish, finish, finish. Yes, a college degree is very much worth the effort (stress, lost sleep, frustration, money). So keep at it because later on when you find the time to get one you won't be able to because of other constraints.
I originally started college in 1982 and didn't finish my degree. Then in 1993 I went back to school working full-time and college full-time and married to a wonderful man. Although we didn't have any children at that time it was still hard. I completed my degree in 1996 and now earn 3 times more salary than I would have if I hadn't finished my degree.
Hope this helps.

your schooling is a good start to a better carrer but you seem to be happy where you are.
you have a 2 year old who needs you and your choice was to have this child.
you also did not choose to go on with your academics and in so doing your child did appear.
why don't you finish what classes you have started and then quit for awhile.
wait until you daughter is a little older. then when your job is starting to bore you or you are feeling like they are passing you by for promotions etc, start making your way back to the books.
don't forget that the online schools are quite good and their credits are transferrable to other colleges.

You should just stick to going to College and try to get through the tough times. If you drop out now, You may regret it. But if you keep going and get that degree you will feel so happy and complete. And the day of graduation, you'll be proud of yourself for finishing school.

Stay, please stay, so many people out there are stressed too, but their getting through it, I commend you for your achievements...it's hard, but you can do it....Think of how much money you will make and how much you will be helping your child when he gets older. Ask yourself this....if you have already started college, it means you wanted to make something of yourself..just because life is getting harder, does that mean you give up all that you've worked towards??? You only live once...make the best of it. Cheers!!!!
