The Grade Point Average is an average based upon a 0.00 to 4.00 scale. A=4.00, B=3.00, C=2.00, D=1.00 and and F=0.00.

You must apply a weight to each grade based upon the credit hours for the class. Say that you have a math class that is 3ch and an art class that is 2ch. You get a C in Math and an A in art. To calculate; math=2.00*3=6.00, art=4.00*2=8.00;
6.00+8.00=14.00/5 (total number of credits) = GPA of 2.80. Do that with all of your classes for all of the semesters, that will give you your total GPA.

Add on: Most universities don't discriminate with in between grades because many subjects don't have in between grades; you need to ask the student counselor of your CC to know for sure. The in between grades are sometimes used in high school to make the kids feel better. The logic behind this; if a B+=3.75 then what is an A+ equal to? See, breaking them up is not linear unless they are broken down. I.e A=3.01 to 4.00, B=2.01 to 3.00, C=1.01 to 2.00, D=0.01 to 1.00.

each letter grade has a element fee. A = 4pts. B = 3pts. C = 2pts. D = 1pt. F = 0pt. upload up all your finished factors and divide via what share grades you have. to illustrate: classification a million = a classification 2 = a classification 3 = C classification 4 = B classification 5 = a classification 6 = D so as that would desire to be: 4 + 4 + 2 + 3 + 4 + a million = 18. 18 divided via 6 grades = 3.0 Grade element regular.

First you need to look at your grades. An a =4 b=3 c=2 d=1 and multiply each by 3 to get the total of honor points. Divide the honor points by the total number of credits earned to get your GPA. Example: you received grades of A, B+, B- ,C in one semester. So your grade points would be 4, 3.5, 3.25, & 2 and your honor points(grade points x 3) would be 12 + 10.5 + 9.75 + 6 = 38.5/12(total # of credits earned) = GPA 3.19.

You have a 2.65. You calculate that by multiplying 2.2 by 30 (66), then 2.86 by 40 (116.4), adding the two totals together (182.4), then dividing that total by the total number of credit hours, which is 70.
