I don't think any book is going to answer the question for you. This has to do more with what you want out of your career, and what skills or inclinations you have. Either way you should develop a strong background in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and (if your school offers it) logic and philosophy.
Rather than books, you might want to spend time in work settings to see what the career is really like day-to-day. That will tell you more than simple reading ever could. Good luck!
