So I decided I would finally upgrade my BenQ DC E53 Digital camera from a 512 MB memory card to a 1 gig memory card.
My camera takes SD cards and that is what I bought. The card its self says SanDisk SDcard 1GB on it... My other card says Lexar 512MB SD card on it.
So I put in my new 1 gig card and my camera says: THIS CARD CANNOT BE USED
I've tried formatting it and I've made sure the card is unlocked. Why wont it work? How do I fix this?
I hope my information makes sense.

just tell me what you think ... AND, for what it's worth, I'm no pro, I'm 14.

Also, none of the picture have been edited in anyway.

For Christmas I have asked for a digital camera. I really would like one that has the feature of taking pictures that are black and white, except that it can have a certain color that shows up as well. I've seen on commericals pictures of a girl holding a rose(the rose is red and the rest is in black and white). I would LOVE a camera that could do this. I just dont know the name or brand of any digital camera that could work. If anyone knows PLEASE tell me. Links would also be nice. Thank you so much!

I'm looking to buy one but, not sure what brand to get. I want good quality, may even possibly use it for photography in the future, but I'm not trying to spend $300 bucks for it...

Any suggestions or sites I can go to?

I feel I have done enough research and I have narrowed down my choices to buy an SLR camera in the $500-$700 range between either of the named above. which one should I pick and why? or You may suggest a better camera of your taste other than the Nikon D40x?

I dont want article comparisons, i just want answers from personal experience. Thanks.

BY THE WAY: should i wait instead for new cameras coming up in 2008? (is there any)

I'm going to buy one or the other. Both have pros and cons in equal measures, and as a result I simply can't decide between them.

S5600 Pros...
9 megapixels and Fujis super CCD technology.
10x optical zoom which also handles macro extremely well.
Fixed lens which prevents dust from getting to the sensor.
Live preview in the LCD which also tilts to allow photos from awkward angles.
Will do videos.
Low cost at around £200 (that's over £100 cheaper than the pentax), which means it's the closest thing you can buy to a DSLR for that price.

S9600 Cons...
Electronic viewfinder.
Non interchangeable lenses (I know I quoted this as a pro, but I also see it as a con for different reasons).
It's not a DSLR.

K100D Pros...
Larger sensor.
Optical viewfinder.
Interchangeable lenses.
Faster shooting in burst modes.
It's a DSLR.

K100D Cons...
Kit lens only has a 3x zoom.
Interchangeable lenses means dust on sensors.
Lower megapixel count.
Much higher price tag.

I have a Kodak EasyShare CD33 digital camera that is not working properly. It is not yet 2 years old. I don't know what the life expectancy is for these cameras. Anyway, the problems I am having are: #1 I cannot transfer pictures to my computer any longer and #2 When the camera is turned on the viewfinder shows nothing so I can't take pictures and I can't review what's there already. I have checked out help sites, etc. and the only solution I found was to upgrade the program. It said it would help but it didn't. Is there anything else I can do or does the camera need servicing and...would it be worth it to have it serviced?

If I sent photos to cd/dvd drive, from there put on a cd, you would think those photos are no longer in the computer. BUT what if I then go back to a previous day through system restore......wouldn't my photos then reappear?
