i bought a new cam named d80 from nikon family.but when i shoot in darkness its flash system turns on automatically. i want to turn it off and shoot in darkness.can any help..i lost the hand book with the kit.please do advise if u know the answer

I'd like to get a digital picture frame for someone who is a bit technically challenged. Having capabilities like wifi or the ability to go get pictures off the Internet are not practical in this case, the frame will be in an environment where it won't be technically possible. I just need one that a bunch of pictures can be put on a memory card - stick it in and it goes. It needs to be easy to operate - any recommendations for good vs bad? Please don't point me at a web site unless it's for a specific model - I'm looking for replys from people with first hand experience.

If you have one and hate it or love it - that is what I'm trying to find out.

I am really dumb when it comes to cameras and I dont know what the hell I did! I was messing with my camera and "formatted" it I have no idea what that means! I had a LOT of VERY important pictures on there!! Now theyre gone! Is there any way I can get them back??????? I dont care if it costs or what it costs!! I need them!!!

I'm in the market for a good entry level DSLR. The issue is that many dealers in India sell cameras without manufacturer warranty. This puts a question mark on the quality/legality of the product and I don't want to get ripped off buying a refurbished product. There's nothing that will help me avoid buying a used product but I know that refurbished products have certain identification marks. If I get to know what these are at least I will be able to avoid buying such products.

today my digital camera fell down, n' it's not working, but some told me to take it to best buy n a bought it there but someone told me that they're not going to change my camera for another, they'll send it to the company but if they don't change it can i buy a warranty for my camera and then change it for another one because a bought my camera like 5 or 6 months ago, but anyways can i buy a warranty for my camera and then change it and how much does the warranty cost???? my camera is sony and it cost me 160 dollars???? what can i do??????

Starting a photography business and need a new professional camera. I want it versatile enough to capture clear and detailed macro and night shots, not just portrait and others without requiring TOO many attachments/lenses. I'd rather it not be TOO expensive, but if you feel the best one for me is expensive please go ahead and recommend it!

If I buy a digital SLR camera, will the lenses, telephoto, wide angle, fisheye, etc. from my regular SLRs work on it. As long as they are the same kind of lens, bayonet style? Although my cameras were quite exspnsive when originally purchased they are not worth much now. But I would like to keep my good lenses if they will work . Your professional help will be appreciated

Explain advantages and disadvantages. I found a trusted store both at the same price S$350 ( USD$ ~250). Wondering it was a good price for the FAJ 75-300 or not. There is also a Cosina AF 100-300mm for S$250 (USD$ ~170). There is also another Tamron Di 75-300mm for around S$300 (USD$ ~210). Please tell me some bout it. Other options? Advice please? for my nikon d40 and i cant seem to get it to work. im pretty sure i put it on the remote setting but when i click the button it wont work. the light doesnt even go on or anything. any idea what could be wrong? what do you have to do to set up the remote for it? what am i doing wrong?

Okay so I got a Canon Powershot S3 IS for my birthday in April this year. And to tell you the truth I really don't know much about it. What is macro? Is it for close ups?
