As mentioned, no more pics, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for:

UPDATE: I just tried this program out. It's tiny, excellent, easy to use, and works GREAT! And you don't need a card reader either as I previously thought (works with your camera also, although I still recommend a card reader). Really, everyone that has a digital camera should have this program in reserve as it likely will be needed someday. If this helps you, and it very likely will, recommend sending this person a donation for saving your valuable pictures.

Sandisk includes an image recovery program with their Extreme III memory cards. Do not take any more pictures on the card until you attempt to run a recovery program. You can buy the software at any computer store. After formatting it may or may not be successful at image retrieval. Good luck!

It's not a trouble. Look at the Net for any programs such as Recovery my files -- I have got a lot of photos after 3 formatting.

Before you take another picture, sit down with your camera's manual and read it, front to back. It's the best way to learn. Recovery software might get your pictures back. I'll bet you won't make that mistake again, anyway.
