I have a vintage SLR Nikon 35mm Film camera. This camera was probably purchased back in the 70's. The only model info I find, is F2 7335387. There is a lens that says Micro-Nikkor-PC Auto 1:3.5 f=55mm 749677. The camera is in good condition and works well.

Can anyone tell me the value of this camera and lens if I sell it at auction?

Is a digital camera that runs on a lithium battery better than one that runs on regular/rechargable double A batteries?
I am not an owner of one yet, believe it or not and was doing some homework on digital cameras before I go buy one. Thanks for your help.

I also don't have a camera cell phone, so that also poses a problem. Not only that, but I don't have any close friends with camera cell phones or digital cameras, either. What are my options?

I'm a newbie in photography. I'm thinking about buying my first DSLR - a Nikon D40. On the web site that I visit there are 2 options, one comes with a 28-200mm / f3.5-6.3 lens, and the other one with a standard 18-55mm lens. What are the difference between the two?

I'm interested in taking picture with a deep depth-of-field (i.e. shape subject with blurry background) and also some scenary pictures too... would the 28-200mm works better?

I'm starting to take photography as a serious hobby.
& am thinking of getting a new camera.

Would you recommend a camera with a rechargable battery or one with AA batteries?

Both seems to reduce blurring. What is the difference?
I am looking into Digital Ixus 70 and 850 IS/SD800/ Specs wise they are very close, weight Ixus 70 is the slimmest from Canon. Price wise 850 IS is $160 odd more. Also looking at the Powershot A570 IS, but this seems bulky althou its much cheaper but uses AA batteries. This seems convenient to get but its power seems to be average... meaning I either need recahrgeables or need spares.

Do you use for your digital camera? I have a Canon A540 and I buy the Panasonic ones, but they die so fast. Like today, I just put a new pair in and I took one picture and the camera shut off and stated on the screen to change the batteries. I had just put them in. Now is it because that brand of batteries is no good, or is something wrong with my camera for it to shut off right after I took one pic and had just put them in?

Plz suggest a brand of batteries to use.

I want a new phone and my old digital camera broke, so i'm thinking of getting a good camera and phone in one.
I'm wanting to take some pictures when i'm away, and i'm wondering if 2.0 megapixels are good enough for clear photos?

UGH! my camera is making me so mad itsn being so weird. I have an HP Photosmart E317 digital camera and i had like 89 pictures on it and now there are only 82! And before i found out they were missing, I started up my camera and random old pictures for like 4 years ago tht I deleted a lond time ago and my camera said i had 5 pictures, and the ones got deleted were on but none of my other current pictures. So what I did was i turned off my camera and took the memory card out and put it back in, all my current pictures were back besides like 7 of them and they were important. HELP!

I still have the cables, instructions, etc. for the easyshare in my possesion. This camera i bought was fairly inexpensive & i don't think it has a memory card. Any advice would be appreciated. It must be simply explained because i have very limited computer skills. Thanks!

"Digital media are affected by magnetic devices, not x-rays. Airports signs warn about x-ray damage to film - not digital equipment. Some believe you should avoid the powerful magnets in the drive motors of conveyor belts. They recommend placing your camera as far away from the beginning of belt as possible."

I read this online and can somebody verify whether this is true. Also, what is the safest way to get my camera undamaged through the security checks?

i like how sd630 it has a 3' LCD screen

but i also like how A630 has a swivel-rotating-angle LCD screen, except it's only a 2.5' LCD screen

can both record movies (with audio), for up to an hr?

which is better for battery?
which lasts longer for battery?

as picture quality i was viewing photos between the two modules and i think the A630 takes better photos , probably because its 8MP whereas the SD630 is 6MP
