my ex boyfriend installed kodak easyshare to my computer but HE has the kodak digital camera. I have just bought a polaroid digital camera from ebay...will i be able to utilize the easyshare or not? I still have the cables, instructions, etc. for the easyshare in my possesion. This camera i bought was fairly inexpensive & i don't think it has a memory card. Any advice would be appreciated. It must be simply explained because i have very limited computer skills. Thanks!

Yes, with a BUT!

You can use the EasyShare software to manage and edit your Polaroid camera's pictures, BUT it probably will not work as transfer device to import the pictures into the computer.

You're going to need to use a USB cable made for the Polaroid camera (unless the Kodak cable happens to fit) and you'll probably have to install Polaroid drivers so the computer will recognize the camera. The drivers should be available from the Polaroid site.

Do yourself a favor and get a better photo software because EasyShare really sucks. You could buy something or go with a free copy of Picasa from Google. Just go to Google and type Picasa and follow the links to download.

I don't believe so, but most camera manufacturers have there own version of "easyshare" software that will work with their cameras.

Just go to the website of your camera manufacturer and you should be able to download a copy of the software free of charge.
