i like how sd630 it has a 3' LCD screen
but i also like how A630 has a swivel-rotating-angle LCD screen, except it's only a 2.5' LCD screen

as picture quality i was viewing photos between the two modules and i think the A630 takes better photos , probably because its 8MP whereas the SD630 is 6MP

The real difference in quality here is that the A630 has a sensor that is almost twice as big as the SD630. I'd say there is no contest if image quality is your deciding factor.
My brother has had his A630 for over a year and it's a very nice camera. You can get it at B&H Photo (available through Yahoo! Shopping) for $184.

For video, buy a 1 or 2 GB Sandisk Ultra II or Extreme III card. You will NEED the increased capacity and write speed to fully realize the benefits of your camera. The Ultra II would be excellent, but if you are really into video, you might prefer the faster Extreme III. These cards cost from about $25-45 at B&H and several other outlets.

The SD630 is way better, I have it and you can do color accent and fast frame video, and other stuff
