Do you use for your digital camera? I have a Canon A540 and I buy the Panasonic ones, but they die so fast. Like today, I just put a new pair in and I took one picture and the camera shut off and stated on the screen to change the batteries. I had just put them in. Now is it because that brand of batteries is no good, or is something wrong with my camera for it to shut off right after I took one pic and had just put them in?

Plz suggest a brand of batteries to use.

Per Steve's Digicams review site of the Canon A540...

http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/a540.html

AA-size alkaline batteries (included in the camera kit)
approx. 90 shots with alkaline batteries
AA-size rechargeable NiMH batteries (sold separately)
approx. 360 shots using NiMH batteries

Were the panasonic batteries Alkaline? I suspect they were not OR they were very old. It sure looks like using alkaline batteries in this camera will be quite expensive. If you plan on using this camera a lot, I would suggest you look at buying NiMH (rechargeable) batteries and a charger. You can find these batteries at Radio Shack, Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, etc.

Batteries have a shelf life, just like food does. There usually is a "use before date" on the package so check that your not buying old batteries. Some retail outlets rotate old stock to the front so they won't have to throw out batteries that have cost them money, so check the dates!! On what kind to use I'd say go with the recommendation that came with your camera. They want you to enjoy their product so their recommendation is usually a good one to follow. Good luck.

you need rechargeable batteries
they should say 2500 or 2700 on the package
the more you use them
the longer they will last
