When I removed the lens from the camera and adjusted the aperature, I noticed that the blades didn't move. Do they only move when the lens is attached to the camera and fall back to a default size when the lens is removed, or is my lens broken?

Camera
Canon AE-1 Program

Lens
Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8

Thanks!

i.e. if you take a picture with the light source in shot, the light source affects other aspects of the picture, particularly with digital cameras?

Does UV have any affect or IR? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have heared that for digital SLR cameras, it is worthless to buy UV filters. Is that true ? I am looking in buying a Hoya 72mm Multi-Coated Glass Filter CLEAR, but also have the option to buy the same WITH UV filter for $20 more. So i guess my question is... are CCD sensors from Digital Camera sensitive to UV ? Thanks !

I just need to get an efficient newer model for taking car photos and I'm looking to spend about $150, give or take.

I was looking at the HP Photosmart 425, which is 5 Megapixel. Is that a good model, or could somebody recommend something better?

I don't have rechargeable batteries but as soon as I start using my camera the batteries die. I suppose the manufacturer does it on purpose so you spend money on rechargeable batteries and the charger. Does this happen to anyone else? Should I take my camera back?

A few years ago when I first got my digital camera I would transfer all my photos to my hard drive and not have them printed. Now I have been taking the photo card to Walmart and having them developed and then transfer them to my hard drive. Is there any way to save the photos that were never printed and have them developed at Walmart/Costo? You can't transfer the photo's back to the card can you? Any easy ideas would be helpful as I am not real familiar with this stuff.
