I bought my fiancee a Canon SD700 which we both like a lot and I found this in the skymall magazine when I flew back from visiting her this weekend. http://www.skymall.com/shopping/search.htm (not sure if the link works).

Is this something that is cool and priced right or is this a rip-off? There is one picture that we both like and I will have her email me the high res pic, but is this service a neat thing or is there a better cheaper way to print and frame a nice picture to an 11x14?

For the ladies, would you like to have something like this send to you from your sweetheart?

I will be purchasing a Digital camera in the near future. i have been told that you really only need about 4 or 5 megapixels for pretty much anything. The only time you would need more is if you plan to plow up the pictures to a poster size print. is this the case?
If I want to crop a picture and enhance only a certain portion, is this where I will need more megapixels. I do not understand this concept and am trying to get all the feedback possible. I want a camera (point and shoot) that will give me the best pictures possible. Any thing you have to offer or suggest will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It's a very nice camera, but suddenly, when I take pix, they end up looking white washed or washed out. Anyone run into this problem before?

Price does matter. I'm looking to spend anywhere from $100-$150. It needs to be able to be fitted to myspace pictures without any programs for resizing (although this may not matter). It also needs long battery life, good megapixles, and other features too maybe...Best answer gets 10 points!!

I've read in an article that it would take 14 megapixels in order for a digital camera to match a 35mm. in terms of picture image quality. Also is 35mm the "Holy Grail" of image quality in a photograph? Are there new technologies that could surpass the image quality of a 35mm camera?

If not that's ok, I'm thinking about buying one. DO you know of any good brands, that won't cost me my left and right arms. I'm willing to spend up too 120 on it, but thats its. Are there any good cheap brand ones? Not too cheap that it doesn't work good, or the quality is bad.

Any advice on buying would be great.
Thanks

I'm looking for something under $200, preferably under $150. Most important consideration: High image sharpness/quality, and proper color/exposure. Everything else is secondary. I would also like the ability to take nice pics in less-than-ideal lighting in addition to great shots in bright light. Suggestions?

I just got a new case for my camera to protect the fragile LCD screen, but now I'm concerned about it getting hurt by the case itself. The case has a very strong magnetic closure, and I'd hate for it to screw up the gears inside the camera. Will my camera be okay in it, or should I go for a case with a velcro, zipper, or snap closure instead?

I just want to make candid portrait photos of my kids. I want to do Selective Focusing on the subject (the kids) while making the background out-of-focus/blurred. I will usually be taking indoor shots (children playing in bed for example) with indirect lighting coming from window. I want to blur the messy room in the background (hahaha!)

I am having difficulty doing this using the Canon A80 due to small aperture and low zoom capability of the A80. I know the Canon 350D Digital Rebel is better for this but someone is selling me his S3 IS really cheap.

I know I can do this effect too in photoshop but I find it time-consuming, so I would rather let the camera do it.

Thanks.
