I've shot a few rolls of Kodachrome 200 while filming bears in Minnesota. Looking at the slides, there is lots of detail and the colors are great. When scanning them on an HP 4890 at 1200 dpi the detail is lost and the black bears turn blue! My lab has also been having the same problem lately. Has anybody else had this problem? Can it be fixed? I normally use the slide trays, would putting them right on the glass change anything?

I have a top on the line (non-SLR) digcam that takes excellent pictures in almost all situations except water scenes. For some reason it just can't seem to get the colors right. My crappy point and shoot digcam somehow captures more accurate pictures of the water color. The more "tropical" blue the water, the further off my camera is. Any suggestions?

I have a new Canon Powershot a540. Do rechargeable batteries last very long on a digital camera before having to be recharged again? I'm planning on going on a week trip and need to know if I will need to take my recharger with me or just an extra set of batteries. Thanks!

I have downloaded about 450 photographs from my Digital SLR (Olympus E-500). Of these around 230 photos are not opening.
Some photo-shop programs state "Marker missing" or cannot find marker. The photographs are valuable. What do I do ?

I want a midline priced camera that doesn't eat up batteries every few pics. A good basic, sorta for dummies type but that takes decent pics...without needing to change the batteries constantly. What do you all have? How much was it? Should I get a phone camera combo instead? Are the pics on them good enough? I need brand, model, and price range...please. Grateful to those who respond, thanks.

I'm buying a camera for the first time. I'm not sure which camera suits my criteria. I want a digital camera that
- gives a higher quality of image (as I always use for image editing very frequently)
- have at least 4x optical zoom
- are less bulky and
- have more storage limit (as I take pictures very frequently).

Hi,
I'm going to be visiting Malaysia & Singapore soon and wanted to know the street prices of Digital cameras - Nikon Coolpix L1, L2, Canon Powershot A700 or anything similar as available in Malaysia and Singapore.
Would the warranty be applicable in any other countries if I buy there?
Trying to guage whether it would be beneficial to buy it there rather than in India..

thanks in advance
