I've only had your plain 'ole UV filter basically to protect against accidental damage to my lens but have recently seen "filter kits" offered for ~$30 - $90 and wanted to know if you use them or if it's a waste?

It acts like it has no batteries, but we've tried several sets with no luck. It is out of warranty(of course).
Any one know what this problem may be, and if so, what it will cost to fix?

I have to sell some jewelry on ebay and need to take a good picture of it. Everytime I snap a picture it looks all blurry and the brightness of the stones is all shiney. I have an excellent digital camera too I just dont know how to use it quite frankly. photographing diamonds.

When I delete them as usual, they don't show up on the memory card, but when I order prints at the store and preview pictures on the store's device, the deleted pictures are there! I go back home, check it again, and they don't show on the memory card. Go back to the store, insert card in the store's computer - they are still there!

Deciding which camera to get... !! Is 4 zoom really much better than a 3 zoom??? Or is it better to have the little more megapixels and crop on photo software to zoom pics in that way??

when I compress my picture files and burn them to cd, then from the cd try to decompress them on a hard drive, I get a message saying the file is incomplete or the file is corrupt. I have approx. 5000 pics which takes about 11GB what are my options and my best solution -thanks

Whenever I burn my pictures onto a CD so I can show people a slideshow they jumble up into a random order when played on the DVD/TV. It doesn't matter if I name them xxx.1, xxxx.2, xxxx3 etc. They still don't come out in the same order I burnt them. This is really annoying as all my pictures are then not in chronological order. Any ideas what is going on?

I have a point and shoot digital camera and ready to step up to a digital SLR. Now that the 400 (eos xti has come out) the 350 has seen a nice price drop to ~$600.

Do you think the extra features are worth the extra $200?

Or is that extra $200 best spent on lenses?
