Whenever I burn my pictures onto a CD so I can show people a slideshow they jumble up into a random order when played on the DVD/TV. It doesn't matter if I name them xxx.1, xxxx.2, xxxx3 etc. They still don't come out in the same order I burnt them. This is really annoying as all my pictures are then not in chronological order. Any ideas what is going on?

You've got lots of unknowns here, but here are a couple of guesses.

Changing the END of the file name probably isn't doing you any good. Most DVD players (not all) play image files in alphanumeric order based on the FIRST characters of the file name. Numbers go first, then letters. In other words, your DVD player is ordering the files based on everything that comes BEFORE your numbering.

Try naming your files this way: 1Wedding.jpg, 2Wedding.jpg, 3Wedding.jpg. You can even do just 1.jpg, 2.jpg etc. if you don't care about having sensible names on the files for someone else or for future reference. As long as everthing after the number is the same for every file, it's a wash and the files will play in numerical order. I've done this numerous times with good success as long as the player supports jpeg playback. Older players and rock bottom cheapie players often don't, while fancier players may give you some control over how the images play back. Look at the player's control panels for some clues.

Good luck.

Hi, I recommand you to try google picasa.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video flips.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
