ok so i've had this camera for a long time and lost the usb cord. and i just found a cf card what exactly is that for or what does it do is it like a memory card?? now if it is i took it out and looked on my computer to see if there was a slot for it to fit in and i cant find one i also looked on my laptop and that doesnt either is there a reason it doesnt like maybe it just isnt supposed to go anywhere in a slot??
please help me thanks bunches

ok, so u have lost the cord...
the best alternative is to use a card reader. The cord is used to download photos from your camera's internal memory or a memory card (compact flash in this case) to computer.

The card reader does the same job but is faster, reliable and easier to use. It shouldn't cost you more than 10 pounds and basically you connect this card reader to your computer and leave it connected forever. Insert the memory card into the card reader and you can download photos to your computer.
There is only one problem, this camera has internal memory as well, so if you don't insert the card into the camera, it stores the photos in the internal memory and you need a cord to download photos to your computer from the internal memory.

Oh the card reader is connected to your computer through USB.

Basically the best thing to do is to always use this compact flash card in your camera unless you get a cord for your camera.
