Hey

There are various types of cards available in the market and each camera has a spec'd card. Kodak C330 used a SD card [irrespective of the capacity in MBs] and Canon IXUS series, Powershot and most other Compact format cameras also use the SD card so there will be no problem.

However Canon Digital SLRs use CF cards. Since you haven't mentioned which camera you are going to buy I'd suggest checking a website www.dpreview.com for exact specs. You can do a lot more on the website apart from checking this.

Hope it helps!
Cheers!

I've done that before, it works OK. Both of my cameras use CompactFlash cards, but no matter what type of card, as long as both cameras have the same card type, it should work. If one uses SD and the other is a Stick, you are out of luck. However, don't expect that the data will work properly in both cameras (if you take pics or videos with the Kodak, you may not be able to see them on the Canon). You should empty the memory card before transferring it from one camera to the other, and then format the card in the new camera. This will ensure that the card will work in the new camera, and that all of the old data is killed.

Memory cards are somewhat universal. But some cameras slots are not. Check a few different companies like San-Disk and see if the application fits both brands of camera.

Yes, if it fits, it will work. Just let your Canon format it to Canon standards..

But go to a Camera shop, or call one, just to make sure, ok?
